Wore WHAT!?
On the recently concluded Screen Actors Guild
Awards red carpet there were many buzzworthy style moments. However, one in
particular caught our attention. Not only because it was amazing but because it
looked rather familiar, and guess why? Well, because we saw something almost
similar on Kareena Kapoor Khan recently.

This is actress Annalise Basso. She stars in the film
Captain Fantastic and walked the red carpet at the SAG Awards because her film
was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Annalise Basso was seen in a Bibhu Mohapatra scarlet chiffon
gown. It was a red crossover neckline gown with long cape sleeves.

This gown was part of Bibhu's Fall 2016 collection which he
showed in February 2016 at the New York Fashion Week.

Later that year in November we saw a very similar look on a
pregnant Kareena Kapoor Khan at the Lux Golden Rose Awards. Kareena's gorgeous
off-shoulder red gown with extra long sleeves was custom made by design duo Gauri
and Nainika. Kareena looked amazing in it and the gown was cut perfectly to
help Kareena put her baby bump front and centre.

Even though the looks were very much alike they worked well
on both Annalise and Kareena. I mean Annalise is a fresh-faced 18 year-old while
Kareena was a glowing mommy-to-be and yet they each carried their gowns with
much style.

Annalise showed off the never ending sleeves with some hand
flapping on the red carpet and boy do those sleeves scream DRAMA! And who would
not want to go flouncing around in those sleeves. I'm sure Kareena wanted to do
the same but she held herself back.

Annalise's Bibhu Mohapatra gown had an added element which
was missing from Kareena's custom Gauri and Nainika look. At the waist, Annalise's
Bibhu Mohapatra gown sported a delicately embroidered dragonfly. The dragonfly
added a visual break and more so a whimsical element to the whole look.
I equally loved the ensembles on both the ladies. Who was your
